DOMESTIC DISCIPLESHIP- FAMILY/ PARISH WIDE CATECHESIS
Families will gather on the second Tuesday of each month for a meal, catechesis and hands on activities. Some themes include, Prayer, Advent and the Jesse Tree, Social Justice with service project, Lent – “Why do we do what we do?”, and a Church Tour,
This program is open to all parishioners.
- It is a supplement for OLC school families, regular Faith Formation classes and families who choose to home school their children.
- For those families working at home with their children, Blest Are We student textbooks will be provided along with a syllabus. Work can be completed on line.
Young Adults of Our Lady
Who: Young Adults ages 22 – 30
What: Group for the “Young Adults of Our Lady”
Where: Kateri Lodge (West Side)
When: Thursdays (every other week) starting October 5 at 7pm – 8:30pm
Why: To provide Young Adults with faith sharing, events, and ministries that strive to bring them into an encounter with Jesus and experience authentic Christian community.

THE BIBLE and the VIRGIN MARY
Mary as you’ve never seen her before…
- Discover how Catholic beliefs about Mary build on the Old Testament as well as the Gospels.
- Learn why the early church used titles like “New Eve” and “Ark of the New Covenant” for Mary.
- Grow in your devotion to Our Lady.

Journey with Deacon Jim as he explores the basics of biblical scholarship. Based on the Catechism of the Catholic Church and the latest Scripture scholarship this study will:
- Offer historical backgrounds
- Give information about the author and the literary style of the biblical work
- Provide a theological interpretation of selected passages

Lenten study begins on Friday, February 9. We will be studying “LIVE LENT!” by Sister Terry Rickard, OP, and Deacon Charles Paolino. The book LIVE LENT! is an ideal companion as we gather weekly to gain inspiration from the next Sunday’s gospel and as we reflect each day of the week on how to live our faith in everyday life.
We meet in the Guadalupe Room on Friday mornings after 9:00 am Mass from 10-11:30am. Open to all women of the parish and their friends. Together we study various Catholic books.

Adoration at Our Lady of Consolation is 24/7. There are occasions when we do repose the Blessed Sacrament because of conditions and situations that require it. Please contact Amy or the parish office (866-0931) for more information or to sign-up for a particular hour of prayer. No sign-up is required to participate.
