Picnic on the Piazza with the Bishop

This year marks the 50th anniversary of Humanae Vitae and the 25th anniversary of Veritatis Splendor — both of which outline the Church’s teaching to address fundamental moral questions.

Central to these documents is the Church’s clear teaching on human sexuality, conjugal love and responsible parenthood – all of which are comprised in natural family planning.

To mark the important contributions of these documents and to celebrate the beauty of the Church’s teaching, Bishop Walkowiak is celebrating Mass at the Cathedral of Saint Andrew on the evening of Monday, July 23, followed by a picnic on the Piazza Secchia. The Mass is open to the lay faithful in the diocese.

Additionally, there will be a workshop presented on Tuesday, June 26 in preparation for the celebration in July for anyone who wants to learn more about the Church’s teaching on love and transmission of life. The attached flyer has further details to assist you in extending the invitation to people in your parish.
