Give warmth to families in our community & Grand Rapids by donating your Gently Used Coats, Hats, Mittens & Boots in all Sizes. Please drop off in the box by Parish office beginning January 25—-February 2nd.

This event is cosponsored by Our Lady of Consolation Parish and the Knights of Columbus.

All coats, hats, mittens and boots will be donated to Degage Ministries, North Kent Connect, & Mel Trotter Ministries.

All fathers, step-fathers, grandfathers, or other male role models are invited to this special event with their daughter(s). This is a great opportunity for men to spend a memorable evening with their daughter(s), making each young girl feel special and loved by her father or father figure. This dance is a wonderful opportunity to create lasting memories!

This is a community event and open to all girls ages preschool through middle school. Invite your family, friends & co-workers. Space is limited!

All children, youth, and adults involved in scouting – Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Camp Fire, Venturing, and American Heritage Girls – are invited to attend, dressed in uniform.

Arts Contest for
Middle and High Schoolers

The annual Creating on the Margins contest is organized by the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops’ Catholic Campaign for Human Development (CCHD). It is a tool for schools and parishes to engage Catholics in grades 7 through 12 in learning about the root causes of U.S. poverty and the Church’s response.

Contest materials can be found at Creative work of any medium (e.g. video, song, painting, drama, poetry, etc.) is welcome! This year’s theme entitled, “More Than a Roof”, will focus on affordable housing. Both local and national prizes will be awarded. If you are interested in submitting an entry contact Maggie Walsh:

On April 24, 2020 the “Passion and Purpose for Marriage” event is coming to Holy Spirit Parish. Dynamic Catholic and Dr. Allen Hunt will share the best kept secret of marriage. This special day is for couples struggling with infertility.

Have you experienced difficulty getting pregnant or repeated miscarriages? Join us for this retreat for couples who have been unable to conceive, couples who have experienced pregnancy loss, and those struggling to add more children to their families.

We encourage couples to attend together to process grief related to infertility and develop strategies to strengthen their marriages in the midst of such a difficult time.

Our three areas of focus include Grief and Loss in the midst of Infertility, Strong Marriages in the midst of Infertility and Fruitfulness in the midst of Infertility.

Cost: $80 includes lunch
