Santa Shop Returns

We are delighted to announce that the Santa Shop at OLC is back after a three-year hiatus! This is a student and parent favorite each year and we need volunteers! We guarantee it will be the most fun volunteer job you’ve ever had at OLC.

For those unfamiliar with the Santa Shop, for two days (December 5 and 6), we will set up a Christmas store in the OLC Family Center where students can secretly shop for their parents, siblings, grandparents, teachers, friends, and pets. We try to keep our prices as reasonable as possible and sell most items for $3 – $10. Each PK – 5th grade class will come with their teachers to do their shopping during their assigned time slot, while the middle schoolers will typically shop during lunch. Once the elementary students have picked out their items, we will wrap their gifts and deliver them to their classrooms to take home and put under the Christmas tree for their families. Middle school students will be given their gifts to wrap on their own at home.

How can parents help?

We need volunteers on Monday and Tuesday to wrap gifts and help the kids shop! On Tuesday afternoon, we also will need volunteers to help us tear the shop down and clean up.
