Dear Parishioners of Our Lady of Consolation Church,
Please spend some time this week reflecting on the information enclosed regarding the annual Catholic Services Appeal. Remember that the annual CSA is much different than a one-time special collection, it is a pledge campaign where you can make a gift payable in installments. I am asking you to please prayerfully consider making a pledge and returning the enclosed card to the parish office. The diocese recommends pledging 1% of your annual income. If you cannot make a 1% pledge at this time, please prayerfully consider making a pledge of $100.
All parishes in our diocese participate in the Catholic Services Appeal enabling our Diocese to deliver ministries and services that are greatly needed. In addition to providing for ministries throughout our Diocese, CSA also supports services in our parish including our seminarians in
formation to become future priests. After our 2025 parish goal of $198,474 is met, 100% of any additional funds come back to our parish to help fund our needs.
Every time that we say the Creed we reaffirm that we are members of the “one, holy, catholic and apostolic Church.” We are saying that every parishioner is a part not only of his or her parish, but also of the Universal Church. Each of us is responsible for the well-being of the Church in our
parish, throughout the Diocese of Grand Rapids and the world.
May our support of the annual Catholic Services Appeal provide us with a way to share the good news of Jesus Christ.
