Principal Announcement
Please read the important announcement below from Father Dominic. This was sent to School families Tuesday evening (2/4/2025).
Dear School and Parish Community of Our Lady of Consolation Catholic School,
I am pleased to announce the appointment of Ms. Abby Giroux as our new Principal, effective July 1, 2025. Abby comes to us with a wealth of experience and strong qualifications, having previously served in a similar role at All Saints Academy and more recently she has been using her faith and leadership skills in roles with both Aquinas College and the University of Notre Dame.
We are deeply grateful for the dedicated service and exceptional leadership provided by our outgoing Principal, Kevin Varner. Over the course of 21 years, Kevin has built a special and enduring legacy at Our Lady of Consolation School, faithfully guiding the mission and vision of our school while nurturing the academic and spiritual growth of our students. His commitment to excellence in both faith and education has left an indelible mark on our community. As Kevin embarks on new journeys, we wish him all the best and want him to know that OLC will always be his home.
I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to the Principal Search Committee and everyone involved in the hiring process. Their efforts have ensured that we have found a highly qualified replacement to fill Kevin’s shoes.
Abby will have the opportunity to overlap with Kevin as they transition at the end of the school year, ensuring a smooth and seamless handover. We are blessed to have this overlap and knowledge transfer opportunity, which will provide adequate time for Abby to get acclimated and for Kevin to share his valuable insights.
Please rest assured that this decision was not made in haste, and we are fortunate to have such a capable leader joining our team.
